A shoot I've been getting excited about since last sunday has just been cancelled/delayed. It gets to be so frustrating how there is never, ever, never a straight line to getting a good shoot in the can.

There always seems to be some kind of event, usually completely out of my control, or circumstances that mysteriously come into being to prevent anything from happening. Like a model getting a sudden eye-infection, or being gassed out of her home at 4am due to a pipe bursting in the cold and subsequently she is overtired and still gagging on the fumes .. and I could go on. I almost feel like I have to start warning my models about this mysterious curse that typically descends on all my artistic shoots. And this is AFTER the 2-3 month delay while I wait somewhat patiently for people to get their brains together.

What is this phenomenon? Does anyone else experience it to the degree that I do? It is so frustrating...

Arg, so I'm wondering what to do with my two lighting guys on standby now, and I'm wondering if there is a way to still shoot SOMETHING tomorrow. Grr. and Arg!
